CONTRACT TERMS:

BOOKINGS: All bookings & details will be arranged with and confirmed by the client & Kayla Thorley. Your appointment date and service will be secured when the non-refundable deposit of services is received. If your booking needs to be moved due to COVID-19, I will do my best to adjust our booking date and time. If this cannot be done, a full refund will be provided. 

 

IN-STUDIO APPOINTMENTS: We understand that getting your hair and/or makeup done is a very exciting time and you may want to bring along a friend or family member to watch the process. As the Kayla Thorley HMUA studio is a small space, we kindly as that you only bring one person to your appointment. The client is responsible for communicating with Kayla Thorley prior to their appointment if they would like to bring another person to their appointment, failure to do so may result in Kayla Thorley refusing entry to the studio of the clients visitors. Strictly no children are allowed at the Kayla Thorley HMUA Studio.

TRAVEL FEE: Travel of $1 per kilometre outside of a 10 kilometre radius of the Kayla Thorley HMUA  studio will apply. Travel will only be applicable to bookings of 4 of more services.

EARLY START FEE: Services commencing before 5am will incur a $50 per 30 minute fee. 

​

PAYMENT: Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer. A $30 per person, per service non- refundable deposit of services is due at time of booking. This secures your booking date and the time to allow for services. The final balance of services is due on the day of your appointment via cash or the week before via bank transfer. There are no exceptions, and the payments must be received before leaving the appointment. Please advise your party of this policy. Additional Charges: Parking/valet fee must be paid by the client if applicable on day of.

CANCELLATION: Your booking is a reserved spot. If you decide to cancel your  services, you will not receive a refund of your deposit.  All cancellations must be submitted in written form by email.

NO SHOWS/RUNNING LATE: Failure to cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours of your appointment and not arriving to your appointment will result in a forfeit of your payment. If payment has been made in full, you will not receive a refund. If you are running more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, Kayla Thorley may adjust your time slot to a shorter time frame or refuse service as to not disturb bookings made by other clients.

SERVICE LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS: The location of services for the day-of-event will be at the client’s discretion, but there are certain requirements the artist will need to complete the services. A set-up table/work area/trashcan/outlet will need to be made available for the artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. Artist will arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time to set-up. Please communicate the hotel room number if applicable by email or text.

DELAYS: Please be prepared to start when I arrive. All clients receiving a makeup service should have a clean face & be ready to start. All ladies receiving hair styling must have clean and dry hair. It is extremely important that you wash your hair the night before and it is COMPLETELY DRY before styling. This is very important so we can stay on schedule, and I can finish applications in the allotted time.

SOCIAL MEDIA & WEBSITE: Photos taken at the appointment/trial/wedding day by myself or your professional photos may be used as examples of my work for future clients to view. Your photographer will receive proper credit for their work. You agree to me using these photos, as well as give consent to using your professional photos on my website/portfolio/social media. I will email you to request these photos.

 

LIABILITY: I take hygiene seriously. All makeup products and brushes are kept sanitary. All products are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported prior to the application. I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Also due to this clause, I am not able to tweeze or razor eyebrows. Client agrees to release the artist from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

I have read, understand, and agree to the contract terms for my services with Kayla Thorley. The above sections are agreements between the artist (Kayla Thorley) and the client. They are also used to serve as a guide for expectations and full disclosure. I understand that a $30 per person, per service non-refundable deposit of my bridal services are due at time of booking. Payment of your non-refundable deposit is confirmation that you have read and understood the information provided and agree to these terms and conditions.
